The CarabaoCup returns this week with Premier League sides set to use the competition to rest a number of their first-team stars.
Liverpool, Manchester United, Arsenal, Chelsea, Manchester City and Tottenham are all in action in the third round of the Carabao Cup.
Anthony Elanga scored as United's U23s beat Brighton on Saturday
City boss Pep Guardiola has won the last four tournaments but the Spaniard will need to trust youth to continue that run amid an injury crisis at the Etihad.
Elsewhere, a host of other starlets could make a name for themselves with the likes of Mohamed Salah and Cristiano Ronaldo in line for a rest.
But who are the youngsters primed for a breakout role in the senior ranks this week? talkSPORT.com takes a look...
Kaide Gordon - Liverpool
The 16-year-old is looking to follow Trent Alexander-Arnold, Curtis Jones and Harvey Elliott in establishing himself among the senior squad.
Gordon only joined Liverpool from Derby County back in January but is already in line for his first-team debut against Norwich on Tuesday.
And Liverpool assistant Pep Lijnders has revealed the moment the young striker impressed both him and Jurgen Klopp during pre-season.
"About Kaide, before pre-season we always make sure that our biggest talents start a week earlier than we start," the Dutchman told reporters.
"They start with the under-23s training and I went to the u-23s training ground to watch and I see one player and he has fire in each moment he touched the ball.
"He passes players like they are not standing there so I call Jurgen like, 'Wow, we have a new player here'."

Charlie Patino - Arsenal
The 17-year-old trained with Mikel Arteta's first-team ahead of the 6-0 win over West Brom in the Carabao Cup second-round.
And now the former Luton Town academy star may be given the chance to be included as the Gunners host AFC Wimbledon on Wednesday.
Arsenal's academy has produced the likes of Bukayo Saka and Emile Smith Rowe in recent years and Patino is believed to be the next superstar in the making.
Patino's goal against the young Red Devils served as evidence to why he is so highly thought of at the north London club.
Arsenal are also looking a tad light in midfield this week, with Granit Xhaka suspended, Mohamed Elneny injured and Thomas Partey unlikely to be risked having only just returned.
Midfielder Patino is rated as a future superstar of the game
Cole Palmer - Manchester City
The embarrassment of riches at the Etihad means only Phil Foden has managed to have a look in on the first-team in recent years.
But Palmer is well on his way to following in his compatriot's footsteps with City's current injury crisis forcing Guardiola to turn to youth.
The 19-year-old started at Wembley in the Community Shield, while he also marked his England under-21 debut with a goal this month.
Palmer looks set to continue his strong start to the season against Wycombe, with Liam Delap also in the mix to play for City.
